The “True” Meaning of Christmas

Every time you think about Christmas, you associate it with gift giving and holiday shopping! Truly, it is an excellent time to spend your hard-earned money for gifts for your loved ones, or expect a bundle of presents from your parents every Christmas day. However, what is the “true” meaning of Christmas? Is it all about gift giving and Christmas shopping?

The truth is that Christmas is a very special moment in your life. It is a day where we spend time with family and relatives, sharing moments and smiles in the process. The gifts are just materialistic in value, if you think about it. What people really care about in Christmas is the thought of the gift, or the true Christmas spirit.

Through this spirit, family reunions and other precious moments are spent during the Christmas season. You can mend broken ties with family members or friends, and even spend quality time you need with your children.

The “true” meaning of spirit can be therefore considered to be love. The love that you get from spending time with your family and close friends is realized by the sweet coldness of the Christmas, bringing us closer to each other for the warmth of affection. In Christianity, it is a time to remember Jesus’ Birthday.
